What’s your deepest concern? Collapsed national war, good friend departure or failure in love? What depresses players most is no doubt account theft. Players treat characters with great care as if they are another self. So it is rather understandable if you despair when you log in, find your character naked on the street and all the equipment and items are gone which cost you enormous time and energy.

For that reason we designed new Binding System in the interest of players.

Binding system has two sub-statuses: system binding and artificial binding.

1. System Binding

•Equipment shown “No Trade” means It is bound to a player by the system.

•System-bound equipment can’t be unbound, traded,boothed, auctioned, mailed and sold to NPC, but they can be abandoned and lost when owners die.

2. Artificial Binding (In Binding and Releasing Binding status)

•Players use certain property to bind or unbind equipment, which adds “In Binding” or “Releasing Binding” to the equipment description.

• Players can buy this special property called “Item Binding Stone” from Mall, right click it and then left click items to make them bound.

•Players can also unbind items by using “Binding Release Stone” that is also sold in Mall. After purchasing it, players shall right click it and left click the item they intend to unbind, putting the latter into a week-long period marked as “Releasing binding……”. After it, the item is removed from “In Binding” status.

•Under “In Binding”, properties can’t be traded, boothed, auctioned, mailed, discarded or sold to NPC.

Through Baldwin, the Hunter (Dynasty)/ Phillo, the Chieftain (Empire) at the main cities, players return back to the epoch of darkness where nothing but cooperation is a must to conquer the 8 tough Bosses possessing high attributes and unimaginable skills. Also, different combat strategies should be adopted to kill different bosses due to their various random skills. Players should keep watch on bosses’ each move for final victory.

From the boss drops, you could gain a special item named Bone Fragments. By composing them in the moonlight box, you could make a lot of new jewelries which is more helpful than before.

Though the instance is known for its mutated monsters, plague diffusing around, powerful bosses, it is equally well known for amply rewards such as top-level skill books and countless great equipment!

Balance. It’s a delicate thing, and it wavers like a dandelion plume in the breeze. Empire had been facing a series of demoralizing losses so one-sided that it was plainly obvious as to the outcome of the War even before it began. Less and less participants attended the events and more and more Empires were contemplating quitting. It was to remedy these dire straits that a handful of prominent, high level, and well equipped Dynasty citizens made the switch to Empire. The shift was made with high hopes of rallying the disheartened Empire citizens, balancing State War, and thus making it fairer and more fun.

The State War held on the 19th of July was again won by Dynasty. Whether or not a balanced State War was achieved remains to be seen, it’s an elusive thing, you see, the scale teetering to and fro, but certainly improvements have been made to narrow the gap between the two rival factions. It has been noted as well that participation from both sides has surged, so too has the intensity of competition as the outcome is no longer as predictable, nor the victor nearly as clear.

There’s still the nagging doubt, however, that a faction’s victory is contingent by the actions of a select few in the upper echelons. It’s absurd that the tides of war are so vastly shifted depending upon whether or not certain top ranked individuals appear for the fight. State War seems less about a war where participation by all citizens is key, but a war where the outcome rests on a select few high level potentates who are able to garner a lot of platinum points. What will happen if Thra, who can take on an attacking force of 30 Empire citizens and the dragon with relative ease, fails to show for the Dynasty side in a State War? Will it mean an unequivocal win for Empire?

It all remains to be seen. Until then, do join the next State War and battle for your side.

A very long time ago, Lucifer, the King of Devils, led his frightening Death Legion out of Hell to attack the Magic Continent and its human race, which was celebrating the annual harvest festival on site of its origin, the Golden Plain. Odin, the King of Gods, reacted without hesitation by sending his Super Corps to save the beleaguered victims. However good his intentions, his quick decision led to dire consequences. His forces, which soon proved no match for their foes, were soundly routed. The fiends then advanced to storm the Gods’ stronghold, Frozen Mountain. The situation there rapidly grew desperate until Odin was left with but a single option. To prevent the fall of the entire universe, he made the ultimate sacrifice, fusing himself with a magical blade, the Dominant Sword, thereby sealing the border between the two realms.

This divide would endure for many centuries before it was unintentionally undone. In the meantime, the humans split into two factions, Dynasty and Empire. Centered in the Magic Continent’s north and south respectively, they also grew apart culturally. Eventually, the former’s discovery of a rare magic crystal mine, which it was unwilling to share, furnished the spark that ignited open hostilities. Then, the discovery of the Dominant Sword allowed the devils to return. MMOsite: First, congratulations you’ve successfully concluded the first closed beta for Magic World Online. How many players have taken part in the test? And what’s the feedback? What exciting content will be available in the second round of closed beta?

Kane Hao: Thank you very much. We are very happy about the result of CB I. Over 2000 players had participated in the first Closed Beta and they were overwhelmed by the unique and innovative design and game play of MWO. In particular they were most impressed by the in-game Video Chat system and the MWO Robot. The Video Chat system allows players to have a certain degree of intimacy while playing the game, and the MWO Robot provides huge convenience to our players, and make MWO a truly “FAIR” game, since it completely eliminates the use of illegal bots. Kane Hao: MWO has 4 starting classes: Mage, Warrior, Summoner, and Archer. Each class can diverge into different professional tracks as your character levels up, through a very unique feature called the Class Transfer. Each subclass has its own unique skills. One of the most interesting thing is that in the 3rd class transfer if one decides that he/she has made the wrong choice of the career path, he/she can talk to an NPC to cancel the path, and re-select a new path, while keeping all the skills of his/her old path on the 1st and 2nd class transfer. This way, one could enjoy more choices in class development.

MMOsite: A unique feature of Magic World Online is its growing weapon system. Can you give us more info about this system? Anything different from the normal weapon upgrade system?

Kane Hao: Yes, the system is quite different from the normal weapon upgrade system in other games. In most games, players can upgrade weapons by using certain gem stones. In MWO, a grow weapon feeds on other weapons, and absorbs the attributes of the weapons it feeds on. Thus, a growing weapon might have infinite possibility for its attributes. Growing weapons in MWO are categorized into 4 types: Physical Attack, Skill Attack, Critical Strike Rating and Hit. To find out more, we definitely encourage you to experience this feature yourself.

So i decided to give Magic world online a try after seeing that it was added to the new gamelist. I did some reading on it before hand and i admit my first thought was hmmm built in bot system, but i decided i would give it a shot and report back here for anyone else who may have been skeptical. Well, so far all i can say is this game is addictive and the bot system is very good. I’ll do a quick summary of the pros and cons of the Strategy Online RPG from what iv seen so far to make it easier reading instead of a mighty wall of text.

Pros:

Smoothe 2D graphics - Old fashioned yes, but they are still well done with nice art. I would personally rather play a game with nice 2D’s instead of a MMORPG with cheap 3D’s as it is far nicer to look at. Another plus to 2D isometric graphics is that anyone can run them.

Quest’s - Quests vary, there are normal kill tasks, escorts and even instances that move the story along and give you your job upgrades. i was particularly impressed with the instanced quests as you dont normally see that sort of variety in F2P games, you usually just get basic kill 20000 of this and that quests but so far this game has been different and actually enjoyable. The quests are also easy to track, as you can display your quest progress on screen just underneath the mini map.

Classes - Lots of classes ! every starter class gets 3 job upgrades as they go along, in total there are 12 differnt job upgrades to choose from, some lead onto others etc. Its abit hard to explain without pictures, so here is a link to them all Classes of Magic World Online  all credits to Ryee, for the class guide.

Player Housing - Thats right a housing system, somthing that people always say they want. The houses are great and quite varied, you can also buy furniture and what not to decorate your home with. However it is quite expensive, but still very cool.

Mounts - Yup mounts of all different levels, again quite expensive, but another nice feature to have.

Weapon growing - One of the more interesting features of the game, from level 20 you can actually have your weapon grow along with you as you level by giving it a series of upgrades, it’s a very cool feature indeed and i cant say i’ve ever seen it in another game.

Crafting - The crafting system is pretty damn good also, there is alot to do and alot that can be done within it, it has quite alot of different routes that the player can choose to go down and eventually they start to cross over each other, requiring different things from different trees to create a certain item. Iv not gone to far into it as of yet, but from what i’ve seen so far, i’m impressed.

Map and elites system - The elites are like sub-bosses and when killed drop pretty nifty items and usually a map piece. When you get 3 map pieces you can stack them together and it gives you coords to goto to dig up some treasure, the treasure is usually some form of rare item.

Video Chat - The game also has a built in video chat system, i can’t say alot about it yet as i havn’t tried it out. I still give it credit though, it is somthing new and somthing that hasn’t been in an mmorpg before. All in all i think it will be a good community feature.

Game Masters - GM’s that actually talk to the community and let us know whats going on, when and how long its going to take. Thats definatly somthing rare for mmo’s these days.

Marriage system - Havn’t seen or used it, but i guess it is still an extra feature for an love birds out there who want to show their love for each other in game.

Castle sieges - Not been in one yet, but PVP is always a good thing to have, especially when it involves battling for moving castle =D.

MWO BOT system - I was abit skeptical about this one i must admit and im sure alot of people who have looked into the game where also… Well what can i say, i actually like it, for a start it eliminates gold farmers and the botting taboo that every other game gets. It also allows casual players to be hardcore and hardcore gamers to get a life if they want to thus leveling the playing field for all.

There will still be quests to do and your bot cannot do them for you, so you will still have to actually play the game if you want to be anygood that is. Even with the botting system in the game, i dont find myself just leaving it on all the time, i do enjoy playing the actual game. The bot is just great though if you know your going to have a busy day, you can still feel like you are getting somewhere even when you are slaving away at a building site, or sat taking calls in an office.
