soul of growing weapon

i got physical damage type of soul and find that this type wont fit for my char..so i trade it with other player.i have a mage and archer char..so now my mage used the skill type of soul..can anybody advice me how to upgrade using this soul thing?! i really need some advices (very strategic one), so i can owned a powerful weapon using my soul right now..
