TAMING NPC

I set my Undead Manipulator bot in Royal Prison to level it's Puppet Manipulation skill. When I checked it's progress the next morning, this is what I saw.

If you notice the tame information box, it says I tamed an Armor Trader.
When I check the HP and MP, it has exactly the same as the Armor Trader in Sun City.

After testing this for 12 hours, I can safely say it's impossible to tame the Armor Trader, so I would like to know how my bot did this.

Yeah, just a few steps away.  I've used PM on the medicine trader a couple thousand times too, and never had that happen.
