With all the downtime (IE: Waiting for the wipe and the start of CB2) I got a bit bored and decided to go back and read all the information located on the main site.. When reading the lore on the site labeled 'Game Story' at http://mwo.enjoymmo.com/preview.html I found it to be grammatically incorrect at times and at other times, a little inconsistent or nonsensical. As such, I rewrote it using the current one as a guide for each paragraph (and so it says the same things as the previous one, just in different words.)
Game Story

*Episode I: War of Gods and Devils *
Our story began on an ordinary day in the dim and distant past. During the annual harvest festival, and as the humans were worshiping the Gods in thanks for the bountiful crops, the Death Legions with Lucifer, the King of Devils, struck Golden Plains, the sacred site where Humans had originated so many years before.
When Odin, the King of the Gods saw this, he hurriedly dispatched his Super Corps to the aid of the catastrophe’s victims. In the end, this turned out to be a snap decision that would lead to fatal consequences. Like a lamb to the slaughter house, the whole of the Super Corps suffered a crushing blow from the Death Legions. After their victory over the Super Corps, Lucifer used the opportunity to storm the Frozen Mountain, the headquarters to the Gods. Odin, without the aid of his now defeated Super Corps, had no choice but to make the ultimate sacrifice by fusing himself with the Dominant Sword, the magical sword of divinity, to seal the border between Hell and the Magic Continent, quickly pulling the Devil Legions along with Lucifer back into Hell. And thus, the Devils' attempts to seize control of the universe overnight were thwarted, and the biggest fight that both Gods and Humans alike had seen to date was finally ended.
*Episode II: The Great Migration*
Left in the Golden Plains, now a hostile environment, turned into something of a living hell by the Devil Legion forces, the survivors of the slaughter were reaching a point of desperation. If they didn't find a new location to settle they would surely parish. They turned to the north and south of the Golden Plains in search of a new place to create a settlement. At last after tirelessly searching for forty years, and with the guidance of the almighty Gods, the Humans found two separate locations to settle that would be safe from the now hostile environment of the Golden Plains.
With each tragedy, new heroes arose to meet the challenge, and it was in this manner that the Human race survived.
To the north, Leo began the Dynasty faction with Sky City as its capital. And to the south, Austin began the Empire faction with Sun City as its capital. Only time would tell the fates of the Human race.
*Episode III: War between Dynasty and Empire*
Over time, wide variations in cultural and environmental factors put a strain on the relationship between the people of Empire and Dynasty.
After hundreds of years, the Human race finally managed to complete the rebuilding of their homes in their new settlements. The Golden Plain had since returned to its former environmental state, and so things were looking up for the Human race.
It was not until the discovery of a rare and precious Magic Crystal-mine was discovered on the Golden Plain, a location between the two factions whose relationship was already strained at best, that their peaceful coexistence was broken. Huge failures in working out a system for dividing the resources led ultimately to violence between the two factions, when in the year 483 by the Empire Calendar, a herdsman discovered the lost Dominant Sword of Odin in the Golden Plains. With the power of this sword the peace between the Empire and the Dynasty was forever broken as Empire made efforts to invade Dynasty.
*Episode IV: Nightmares*
The ignorant misuse of the Dominant Sword by the Empire forces brought about another unexpected turn of events when the seal on the Dominant Sword faltered, allowing the Devil Legions, still led by Lucifer, to hatch their diabolical scheme. The devil forces, isolated in Hell for all these years, had turned their attention from wanting conquest to wanting revenge, and this faltering in the seal of the Dominant Sword was the opportunity that they had been waiting for. Acting quickly, Lucifer released into the atmosphere of the Magic Continent, a devious magic spell that effected all the creatures of the Magic Continent except for the remaining Humans, who were still protected by the Dominant Sword's temporarily weakened seal, and turned them all into hostile beasts with only one goal in life; Destroy the Human race.
*Episode V: King's Return *
Such is our history...
Put aside your differences for the sake of this Magic Continent. Only an assembly of the greatest heroes of the land can expel the devious magic of the Devils back to the hell from whence it came!
When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going. So go out there and Get Going!!
Nothing is impossible for the divine of heart. Take up your arms, chant your spells, and drive the Devil's Magic back to Hell!
