Guild Charter

Phoenix Rising (PR) is first and foremost, a guild of honor, and of honorable players. For this reason, admission to the guild entails more than just hitting 'apply' within the game. Members of the guild are expected to meet certain criteria in order to maintain their status within the guild. All members must meet the following criteria at all times:

Code of Conduct:

1. Maturity - Phoenix Rising members are expected to behave with honor and respect for all GMs and players alike. Flaming and bashing will not be permitted in any way, shape, or form within guild chat, normal chat, country chat, world chat, on the forums, or through any other chat or other outlet.

2. Helpfulness - Phoenix Rising members are expected to help other players in need. Try to think about how things were when you first started playing, and how much easier things would have been if you had known this or that just a little bit sooner… Laughing at anyone to their face, or behind their back, just because they ask what you believe to be a "stupid question" will not be tolerated. While it is not required, helping others to level up will be noted and will reflect well on your guild permanent record.

3. Kill Stealing - In Magic World Online it is impossible to completely avoid kill stealing (KS) at one point or another. The in-game bot system creates a system where KSing is the norm. That being said, Phoenix Rising members are expected to do their very best not to KS any other player within the game, whether they are in the guild or not. (An Empire’s monster is fair game.) It is understood that your bot will KS other players when left unattended, but when you are at the computer, you are expected to do your best to prevent your character from KSing another player.

4. Item/Gold Stealing/Scamming - Item or gold scamming or stealing in any form whatsoever are grounds for immediate expulsion from the guild regardless of previous guild standing.

5. PvP - Magic World Online has a built in function that allows Dynasty players to kill other Dynasty players. It is to be known that Phoenix Rising does not endorse or condone this activity, and that anyone caught taking part in it will be booted from the guild. (Again, Empire players are fair game. Additionally for this rule, any player who has a red name or attacks you first is fair game as they have already initiated or killed another Dynasty player.)

6. Activity - Phoenix Rising members are expected to remain active within the guild. For some this may mean saying 'hello' when you get on in the morning or 'goodbye' when you head off in the evening (or whenever you come and go.) and for others, it may mean a lot more. It is well understood that some players will be more active than others, and that is accepted. Members vanishing or not speaking for weeks or months at a time are subject to expulsion from the guild.

7. Events - Events will be held from time within the guild. Only members within good standing in the guild will be invited to partake in the events, and may receive any rewards available within the event. Members on probation or otherwise not in good standing will not be invited to participate.

8. Guild Warehouse - The warehouse (Guild WH) is open freely to all players in good standing within the guild. The current system is based on a 'Need before Greed' method of distribution. This means that a player who is in current NEED of an item will receive it before someone who doesn't yet need it or who simply WANTS the item(s) in question. We ask that you only ask for items with level requirements five levels or less above your current level until level 40, at which point it must be within 1 level of your current level (as leveling slows immensely at level 40.)

9. Donations - Guild Warehouse donations will be accepted by Guild Warehouse Managers at their convenience. Telling a Warehouse Manager to get on the Warehouse account “right now” will result in a denigrating mark against you on your Guild permanent record.

10. Guild Threats - Threatening other people or guilds by any means including using the ‘guild’ as your backer will not be tolerated. This includes comments such as “My guild is going to thrash you” or “if you don’t do this, my guild will destroy you.” This applies to all forms of chat in-game and out, and applies to all members of the guild.

11. Vendettas - Phoenix Rising guild members are to behave respectably at all times. If someone kill steals your monster or attacks you for no reason, note their name and take a screenshot. Submit that screenshot to the guild for the officers to review. Do not say a word to them about it, do not threaten them, and most importantly, don’t go KS their monsters to get revenge. The guild will handle all the problems internally, whether it involves contacting the head of their guild about it (if they are in a guild) or preventing them from ever joining Phoenix Rising.

12. Alliances - Guild alliances may be created at the sole discretion of the guild officers, and final say in such matters falls to the head officers of the guild. All Phoenix Rising members are to honor any alliance set forth by the guild, and treat all member of an allied guild as members of Phoenix Rising itself. Phoenix Rising may be called upon to help an allied guild with a war against another guild should an agreement be prearranged with the head officers of Phoenix Rising prior to the war being declared, or should war be declared on an allied guild. Determining whether Phoenix Rising will assist with a war is left to the discretion of the head officers of the guild.

13. Admittance - From time to time the guild will enter a state of referral only admittance. When this happens, only users recommended and endorsed by another member of the guild will be allowed to enter the guild. The referring member will have the name of the other user added to their referral list and the user’s achievements or negligence will be passed on to the referring member’s record. Please ensure that you truly trust the quality of a user before referring them to the guild.

Punishments:

1. Kicking - Any member of PR may be kicked at any time for breaking any of the aforementioned rules with or without warning at the sole discretion of the guild officers. In most cases, the reason for dismissal will be discussed with the member prior, or immediately after, dismissal takes place. In severe or special circumstances, a member may not be informed of the reason for dismissal immediately. Members kicked from the guild that want any hope of being able to be readmitted into the guild will continue to follow the aforementioned rules or risk permanent banning from the guild and any chance of readmittance.

2. Probation - Guild members may be put on probation at the sole discretion of the guild officers for breaking any of the above rules. Probation periods may last anywhere from one to thirty days, and during this period, the guild member will not be able to participate in any guild activities. Members on probation may be reinducted as a full member in good standing should they obey all the rules to the satisfaction of the guild officers for the duration of the probation period. Probation periods may be extended, or members on probation may be booted from the guild at any time at the sole discretion of the guild officers.

Please Note: This guild charter may change at any time for any reason with or without notice. Please check back often to check for any changes.
