I would like to clarify some facts regarding both classes.
First, Angel Mirage and Befall Demon skill (hereby known as angel or demon respectively) are mirrors of each other. Angel and Demon do the same amount of damage, but their level 70 skill and the fact angels can use skills is what makes them different.
Angel
Angels can use skills, but only level 50 and up (Poison Kiss, Deep Dizzy and Enhanced Attack), however their skill damage are solely Skill AP based (except for Enhanced Attack). Basically, some skills require either physical or skill damage, sometimes both. but Angels rely on Skill AP. Angels (holy damage) get the same amount of damage as Demons do (dark damage).
Demon
Demons are more like a berzerker, relying on Physical damage instead of Skill damage. Gloomy Cultivation raise their physical damage and physical rebound attribute. The fact that demons get an increased amount of physical rebound, and angels able to cast skills is the only difference.
Now as for weapons, Golden Beastmasters and Demon are more in need of a scythe with leech in a physical gweapon. However, the scythe will be useless if their IAS isn't more than lv 10 (which is about 20% more attack speed) but 15 at best (about 30%).
A whip is more suitable for a Devil beastmaster and Angel. Let me explain:
Poison kiss at level 1 does skill damage between 600-900 ever 3 seconds for 15 seconds with a 20 second cooldown. This skill is only SKill AP based. Whips are faster than scythes, and have more skill AP. With Angel, many find balance more important than pure (meaning that Whip in a Physical gweapon instead of Skill gweapon). However, a scythe in a Skill gweapon is better for an Angel at or above level 60. Skill weapon can get over 1250 Skill AP bonus, so math dictates 1850-2050 per tick on poison kiss( I'm actually gathering data for the formula for poison kiss; therefore this statement not accurate yet). Furthermore, combining a scythe in a skill gweapon will keep your Physical AP concurrent with your damage from skills.
So what I'm trying to say is that the differences between Angel and Demon are small. In my honest opinion, Angel better in PvP but a Demon better for PvE because maintenance comparisons. However, equipment is always the decisive factor.

Finished gathering data regarding poison kiss. Poison kiss damage is Total Skill Ap*.3 (rounded off to the nearest decimal) For example: If you're Skill ap is 547 and poison kiss is lv1 (600-800 damage), then 547*.3 is 164.1. Therefore Poison kiss damage is 764-964. So with 1250 bonus from Skill gweapon, COULD have 514 poison kiss damage increase (350+164 ). That's 1114-1314 poison damage at Lv1 Poison kiss every 3 seconds. I assume earth damage by point or percent increases it as well. Going to see if it does.
Now as for "COULD"
I'm trying to find someone with a Skill AP gweapon (which is hard because most, if not all, have physical gweapon), because I don't know if the 1250 is actually stacked (meaning it increases the skill by the bonus displayed) or is it part of the 3% damage increase equation. Guess in laymen's term: is it all 1250 or 350.
Next is Deep dizzy (which does damage as well as stuns a target) to see if it does physical or skill damage (I'm pretty sure it was skill last time I checked, but not sure), as well as it's damage
bonus increase-percentage. |
