A word from the author:
This guide cannot be reproduced, modified or reworked by anyone in any circumstances for any reasons without my prior written permission due to the amount of time spent on this document, and the labor it took to put this together plus the size of this file. I do not want any rewards for this but I would like it if people respect my work in its integrality as is, and no modifications were made by anyone.

Credits to the authors, and the contributors, they have successfully helped me out to make leaps and advances in this guide in a few sections that I was lacking knowledge.

This guide is a team effort with the MWO Ingle games, and its community. The file was edited by myself alone, and the original tables were designed by a few authors so I will give them the credits where it is due.

PM me if you have a suggestion or something you would like to see there. I will review it and edit if it's required. Thank you for understanding over 200h of work and 175 pages of content edited, written and compiled.

This guide is meant to be a complete reference in every single aspects of the Magic World Online (MMORPG).

Please do not reply to this post. I have created another one specifically to gather the replies, add knowledge, ideas, and highlight important modifications that should be updated in this guide when it will be mentioned and suggested by  our community.

This guide will be copyrighted for MWO only, and cannot be reproduced for any purpose elsewhere without explicit written consent. We will put as much knowledge, informations and details as it becomes possible over time. This guide will be written in proper english to start, and later on will be translated in french. I might work on other languages but since I know only those two this will be difficult to overcome alone.

Starting from level 1 to a much later 80, this will be a document to guide the player thoroughly in every subjects of MWO. Tips and tricks, hints for beginners, average and expert players. Strategies and statistics about the game, the zones, the monsters, encounters, the items and the game system.

Best regards to our community,

Dakaran

For Vista Users: If you install the game to the same disk as your Vista system installed (like in C:, the game installation program will seems to be stuck, as Vista will try to preload the whole file before it really starts. We are recommanding that you install the game into another drive, like D: or E: .

2.The download will start out slowly, but will reach very high speed after a few minutes. If for any reason the download is interrupted, just simply re-run the downloader program and it should resume the download process from the place it left off in the previous download.

3.8 Party window

There are times when without any help it may seems like you can't overcome the odds. This is when forming a group is a good idea, and meeting new people at the same time, you can make real good friends, and this is what a MMORPG is all about! You will get the chance to find others to group and adventure in places you couldn't go alone hoping to come out alive.

When that time comes, using the party window and the interface, they will be a part of an important function in the game. It will help you and your teammates to survive the odds, and communicate quickly.

MWO party window is simple but effective. It gives the health of party members in percentage (%), and shows the member status alive or dead.

A right-click on one of the party members, also allows to manage the group, makes it possible to give the leadership of the party to someone or to kick them out of the group! So please be mindful and respectful with your fellow players and teammates because it might bites you in the end!

4.0 Introduction

Magic World Online has four  playable classes, and each class as its own specialisations available as the character grows and progresses throughout the game. The player can choose a class, and a career path after making the decision to be either an archer, mage, summoner or warrior.

Each class will assume different roles but their strength and weaknesses are very different. It is up to the player to see them, and discover what they like the most.

Class promotions will happen a few times during the career of the player's avatar. Choosing the right path for your style will be a key factor to enhance your experience in MWO.

Below you will find the charts with the class transfers for each class represented on the pictures:

(Memo: PVE to PVP what is the difference for each skill, and more...)

DYNASTY vs. EMPIRE

Intro to state wars, tactics, important infos and more..

(Memo: PVE to PVP what is the difference for each skill, and more...)

The state war is a massive battle between the Dynasty and Empire states. The war takes place on the Golden Plains map every Saturday starting at 7PM PST. The ultimate goal of the state war is to capture the opposing side's fortress. Every players above level 30 are invited to participate in the war.

How to Join?
Requirements: Character level of 30

The next step is to enter the Golden Plains. If you are on the Dynasty side you can go from the Sky City to the Armed Coast, and then go to the left to enter the Golden Plains. On the Empire side the players will have to go from the Sun City to the Hope Oasis, and then all the way to the top to enter the Golden Plains.

Of course, you can always just set your MWO Robot to bring you there. Upon entering the map you will automatically warp there and begin to participate in the war. A few players have encountered a glitch that does not transport you to the correct map if you entered the Golden Plains map before the war starts. If you do not see any players from the opposing side, just leave the map, and re-enter. You should not be able to see the normal Golden Plains monsters.

General Information

Once you have entered the map, you will be inside a fortress. If you want to leave the fortress you must talk to the Battleground Teleporter. He is located at the right side of the fortress, and will teleport you to the North, Center, or Southern gate. From there, you will enter the field. If it's your first time participating in the war you can run around and scope things out. Remember to bring plenty of HP/MP potions, and to stay with your party. If you die you will be sent back to the fortress, and will have to talk to the teleporter again to start over.

Strategy

All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are faraway; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.

As we all know, strategy is a vital part of winning any battle. The same applies during the State war.

I. Teams
Every players participating should be in a party. This is the equivalent of a brigade or unit in a real war. The best teams have members from each class who are within the same levels range. Decide who will be the leader of the group, and don't forget that the healers will be a vital part of your survival, and to protect them considerably.

II. Choose a General
Each country should choose a player who is very experienced to lead everyone. Without a solid leader, it won't be long before the more organized side is able to overcome the disorderly side.  The war will become far easier if you listen to your leader.

III. Defend vs. Attack
The ultimate goal of the State war is to earn glory points. Glory points are obtained by killing opposing faction players or capturing their properties. A good army will know when to attack the opposing side to gain glory, and when to defend itself from  a possible overwhelming attack. If your side is behind the other team in glory points then it may be a good idea to defend your remaining properties, and gain glory points by killing those attacking it. Communication is also a very decisive factor and an important part. Remember to inform your countrymen of any activities made by the other side.

There are NPCs that will attack you controlled by the opposing faction. I normally avoid these NPCs as they are very powerful.

Glory points & winning the war
Glory Points are the most important thing to consider during a State war. Since they decide the ultimate the outcome they must be considered with a particular attention from both side. They can be obtained by killing players from the opposing army and  destroying or capturing their properties.

After one hour, the side with the most glory points wins, players who earned enough glory are rewarded with War Packages that may contain Legend gears. At the end of the war you will be transported to your main city where you can see who earned the most glory points, and check your backpack where you may find your reward.

(Memo:How fast can you do it, where and how?)
Leveling up your character and your skills, tips and strategies.

While leveling up you will have to make a choice before you start: will you acknowledge that it will cost you much more gold to level up faster or will you take the cheapest path and  level up slower but end up richer with a good amount of cash always avaible all the time, and also facing a minimal risk?

At level 38 a good example of what exp rate is considered; slow at 20-30k, average at 70k , and fast at 150k. To achieve fast you will burn top money and potions available by 200's guaranteed because you will use area of efffect skills alot, and its extensive side effect to increase the damage suffered from being surrounded by monsters, the durability going down faster, and your mana being drained at much faster rate whatever the class you are playing, too.

If you choose the fast path, look for +item drops mod, it will require more gold and ressources. You will be able to use that extra for your own good.

Exp rate example for a temple warrior:

You can use the robot to automatically cast spells and skills, then using this feature, your character will max out the skills very quickly. Leave a ton of potions in inventory to allow it to keep going for a while. If you want your healing skill higher, and you don't have something else to do then you can configure the robot, target yourself, and it will cast the healing over and over for you until it runs out of mana and potions.

You can also use your skills everytime they refresh to fasten your learning. Even if you wouldn't have to use that skill right now just as long as the long refresh timer skills are used constantly it is what is important. It's useful to use it even more whenever to keep your pace steady in learning those skills. They power up your character alot with each new rank.

REVIEW,  EDIT THE TABLES AND MOVE!
8.5 Crafting items list.

Basic introduction to crafting:

It is one of the 4 production living skills (alchemy, blacksmithing, tailoring are the other 3). As you can see from the following table, crafting allows you to transform powders and stones into a higher level powder or stone. While at the lower levels this isn't very exciting, toward level 8 in crafting, you will have the ability to create fantastic powders which are extremely rare to come by, and is absolutely necessary to upgrade your juvenile mount to a ridable adult mount.

Additionaly, multiple perks that come with crafting are the +item-drop and life-leech enchantments, as well as multiple pieces of furniture for your house (more added later). Furthermore, as more people will begin to create gold and saint weapons and armor, lvl 48 stones are becoming quite useful due to the fact that they can achieve values that even the godstones cannot,  and this living skill  becomes an asset for any players wishing for the best equipment out there.

Everything will unfold when time comes...
8.6 Tailoring List.

Basic introduction toTailoring.

It is one of the 4 producing living skills (alchemy, blacksmithing, crafting are the other 3), and it allows you to produce armor (boots, chest, gloves) for the following classes: Archer, mage and summoner.

While at the lower levels of this living skills, the items that you produce will be at a level far below yours, and they can be bought from an NPC. However later on, starting  at around level 6-7, you will have the ability to create higher level armor that becomes increasingly difficult to find as a dropped treasure, and can't be found from NPC's. Additionally, the perks that come with tailoring are the increased dodge and increased defense enchantments.

As you might have noticed, the format of the tailoring tables differs greatly from the crafting tables. Instead, the tailoring tables are grouped into many separate classes and what piece of equipment it is. The level of the item created is also included for those of you who want to know what powders will be decomposed from the items.

8.10 Tips and tricks for your living skills.

MUST BE EDITED, COMPLETED AND MOVED!
Growing weapons
9.0 Introduction to the first stage.

Tips and common knowledge before we start:

1.
- They can be acquired at level 20 by completing the quest for your character.
- The sealed growing weapon soul is received upon completing the quest in the novice village from Sharidon on the Dynasty side. To unseal it you must visit a blacksmith with your  sealed growing weapon soul, and a weapon to synthesise it. Ask the blacksmith about growing weapons and the window to perform the fusing between the soul and the weapon will open.

2.
- Growing weapons can be leveled up from +1==>+20.
- Each weapon begins with a durability to upgrade the weapon; 3 life burning points. Once the points are gone the weapon can no longer exists, and disappears from the players inventory permanently. You loose one point for every failed attempt but you can recover one point using a special crystal from the item mall!
- Beginning the growth of a weapon is done by synthesising it with a weapon's soul that evolves and gives an increased benefit to the weapon's owner while the weapon is equipped, and as it reaches a higher weapon level.

3.
- You can find a Blacksmith's Heart and a Craftman's Heart on any monsters. They are rare, and used during the upgrading process of your weapon.
You can find technologic stones on any monsters. They are semi-rare, and required at a certain stage to synthesise your weapon. It's an item important for all players.

4.
- Once your growing weapon reaches level +7 you can choose to continue the growth of the weapon's soul up to level +10/+20 based on souls type as a first stage weapon or to evolve it to the next stage into an advanced growing weapon right away. Conditions must be met for the upgrade, see the advanced sections for more details to guide you with your choice.

Weapon souls have four different types: Critical strike, +hit, physical damage and skill damage.

Special Note: More informations about the advanced growing weapons later, so read on...

MUST BE EDITED, COMPLETED AND MOVED!
9.1 Questing to find a soul.
(Memo: How to obtain a weapon's soul?)

Upon reaching level 20 you can see Sharidon, located on the east side, in the novice village Maegocian to gather informations about the quest. You can only do this quest once per character during its lifetime. Sealed souls are given randomly to every characters. You could end up with any type, randomly.

MUST BE EDITED, COMPLETED AND MOVED!
9.2 Upgrading your weapon.
(Memo: What to use, and how to craft successfully a good weapon?)

1. Place your growing weapon in this slot.
2. Put a sacrificial weapon here. The item will be fed to your growing weapon to make it evolve, and your upgraded growing weapon's attributes will change or stay the same depending on the stones that you have used in the upgrading process. It helps to determine how your weapon will evolve.

Note: You can only feed the same class weapons to your growing weapon. Once you have bound a weapon's soul into it only the same weapon type will apply. You will also need to pay some gold the blacksmith NPC for the upgrade cost plus the items required, too.

3. You will need a technologic stone to proceed with the upgrading to +3==>+4… or higher etc.
4. The success rate of a growing weapon to upgrade will reduce as the weapon continues to evolve to a higher level.

For example:

Level 1 ==>2 100% 0 technologic stone required to upgrade.
Level 2 ==>3 90%  0 techologic stone required to upgrade.
Level 3 ==>4 70%  1 techologic stone required to upgrade.
Level 4 ==>5 50%  1 techologic stone required to upgrade.
Level 5 ==>6 25%  1 techologic stone required to upgrade.
Level 6 ==>7 15%  2 techologic stone required to upgrade.

- +5 and higher, at this point it will become necessary to use special crystals to increase the success rate of the upgrading process for your growing weapon. They can be bought from the Mall or traded with other players for a high price. To craft higher level crystals you will need a Moonlight Box to combine the Blessed Crystal (S) and Magic Stones into the box.

*The Moonlight Box can be purchased at the grocery store for 2,000 gold pieces per box.

Stones success rate by levels; success bonus decreases as per level of the weapon is higher:
*Table with the success rate per level for each type of crystal added later.

Blessed Crystal (S) level 1
Increases success rate by 7% for +3==>+4.
Increases success rate by 5% for +4==>+5.

Blessed Crystal (M) level II
Increases success rate by 10%.

Blessed Crystal (B) level III
Increases success rate by 15%.

Note: It is possible to combine Blessed Crystals and Magic Stones in a Moonlight Box to upgrade the stone's level which will increase the success rate given by the stone.

Combine (3) Blessed crystal (S) + (3) Magic Stones = Blessed Crystal (M) level II [10%]
Combine (3) Blessed Crystal (M) + (5) Magic Stones = Blessed Crystal (B) level III [15%].

5. Place the Blacksmith's Heart or Craftman's Heart here.

6. Place crystals such as Soul Protect Crystal or Burning Point Crystal here.

Miscellaneous stuff:
1.Blacksmith’s heart and Craftman’s heart.

The Blacksmith's Heart: It keeps the level of your growing weapon the same even if u fed it with a weapon higher level than yours.
Example: My growing weapon required level is 12, and I just want to upgrade my weapon to [+2, +3, +4, +5..etc]. I will combine it with a weapon of any level + a Blacksmith's Heart .

The Craftman's Heart: It keeps the growing weapon's atttributes colorized in blue in the growing weapon's tooltip unchanged during an upgrade. It does not take the sacrificial weapon's attributes after the upgrade is completed. Therefore, It keeps the attributes it had before.

Example: My growing weapon is level 12 with some awesome attributes, and I would like to preserve its attributes so I will use a Craftman's Heart during the process. Ex: Wind damage +12, Physical damage converted into hp 36%.

Note: You can use only one of the two hearts at a time when you are trying to upgrade your weapon at blacksmith NPC. They must be placed into the slot number 5.

2.0 Important warning:  Life burning points are very important for your growing weapon. Even if it fails to upgrade, your weapon will be returned safely in your inventory as long as there are life burning points remaining. The crystals and the other materials consumed during the upgrading process will be lost.

If your life burning points are equal to one, and your upgrade fails you will loose your growing weapon. So pay attention to your life burning points. It acts as the durability of your weapon's soul ability to upgrade and exist in the Magic World.

Shows a weapon healthy, and with plenty of durability.

3.0 You must gain 100% experience for your growing weapon before you can upgrade your growing weapon's level. If you don't max the experience or even if it's 99% you still cannot upgrade it to the next level [+2, +3, +4, +5... etc].

3.1 REMINDER You can not absorb a sword with a bow. It can only absorb weapons of the same class as yours.

Advanced growing weapons

9.6 The results and the differences.
Special note: Only available for certain soul types.

An advanced growing increases the success rate for each upgraded level beyond compared to a normal weapon, and raise the maximum possible it can reach. For physical damage and skill damage types respectively, the limit is set to +20.

- Physical damage and skill damage growing weapons types can be exchanged for an advanced growing weapon of the same type at the blacksmith once they have reached level +7.

- The colour of the weapon  will change to green.

+Physical damage and +skill damage.
Example: From +7 to +8, the advanced growing weapon has a larger success rate, and since it is advanced, now it can evolve to level +20.

Remember to equip the growing weapon when you go to exchange it for an advanced one. If you put it in your backpack you may get a failure message.
A +7 advanced growing weapon gives the same damage as the +7 normal one, it's just the success rate, and the top level  that have changed.

Legendary items
(Memo: Oh, really?)

Introduction to finding and upgrading your legendary items.

Legendary items are special items that give a bonus per item, and have a set bonus when three or more items are equipped together. More set bonuses unlock as the number of pieces equipped on the character increases.

Each set is made for a certain class starting at level 38, and can be upgraded twice later on upon reaching level 52 using special items.

Players can obtain legendary items in-game;

- Winners of the siege war with enough reputation and honor will have the chance to get a shot at the legendary armor and weapons when opening a package.
- Killing the legendary guard located in the northen area of the Goblin Tribe map can yield very rarely an anvil, or from the item mall. In both case, you must forge the items required using a magic anvil or a crystal anvil. Depending on the green metal mine used the percentage of success to find a legendary item will greatly vary.
You could go through evil zodiac, the bosses there may drop gold fragments, and you could exchange 10 gold fragments with 1 gold soul at the npc  mysterious blacksmith in the evil zodiac

This way is the most reliable:
- From dungeon bosses instanced; Royal Prison (instanced).
Ralph, the Soulflayer - Boots/Glove
Parker, the Rat King - Helm
Saman, the Condemned Hunter - Vest
Wafey, the Demon Mage - Weapon
Demon Mage, Wafey (Original) - Belt
Vincent, Ancient Beast

(Rare) Vincent - Cloak

Reported drop rate 5-10%

Note: Synthesising a Crystal Anvil requires (2) Magic Anvil in a moonlight box
Synthesising a Green Crystal Mine requires (10)Green Metal mine in a moonlight box.

12.2 Finding a mount.
Work in progress, more added later.

There are 5 primary ways of finding a mount.

1)  Buy The Egg With Gold
The Mounts Keeper is located at approximately [259,249] in Uptown.  Here you can purchase an Ordinary Mount Egg for 400,000 gold.

2)  Buy The Egg With Platinum
An Ordinary Mount Egg can be purchased from the item mall for 30 Platinum.  It is located in the 'Mounts' tab on the first page, top center.

3)  Buy The Mount At Auction
The Auction House frequently has newborn and +1 mounts listed for less than the cost of the egg.  If you are looking for one of the less popular mounts or just one to fill the spot until you find the one you really want this is the best method for finding a mount.  One thing to be aware of when you buy a mount from another player:  Each mount gets 5 opportunities to gain its hidden attribute (not counting rebirth potions).  If you buy a +2 child mount with no hidden attribute you now only have three chances, but it is probably also going to be less expensive.

4)  Shouting for a mount to find one in the country channel.
Similar to using the Auction House you could try things the old fashioned way and shout in country channel.  Results will vary widely, but of the first four methods this is the most likely to yield the more popular or expensive mounts, such as Unicorns.

5)  The Old Fashioned Way, elite and boss monsters
Elite (extremely rarely), and some bosses also drop mount eggs.  Some of the eggs dropped by bosses can be predicted eggs, which means they have a greater chance, but not a 100% chance, of being the type of mount predicted.  The Saint Beast is famous for dropping the occassional Core Dragon Egg, and rarely a Golden Phoenix egg.

12.4 Food chart.

(Memo: Food list with location to find the food, and how to get the food for your mount?)

Child mounts level up when they have eaten enough times.  See the following table:

Mount   Type of   Number of   Powder/   Total Powder
Level   Powder    Feedings    Feeding     Required
----------------------------------------------------
Child   Normal        10          20           200
+1      Fine           20          20           400
+2     Perfect       30          20            600
+3    Excellent      40          20            800
+4    Fantastic      50          10            500

- You can only feed your mount when the starvation degree is 30/100 or lower.
- The starvation degree decreases more rapidly when you are standing still than it does if you are moving around.
- If you choose to use auto feed the mount will level more slowly than if you carefully feed the mount yourself because auto feed will only feed a child mount when its starvation is 0/100.  However, if you are not likely to remember to feed it when the starvation is 30/100 or 20/100 auto feed may be the way to go.

Adult mount table added later.
