Detailed Rules in New Server Eden (Updating)

Big news!  The new server Eden will be released at 6:30 PM, December 6th, 2010 (PST).  .  
On the occasion of the incoming server, we have specified some rules to be forcefully stated in new server Eden, which are hopefully promoted in the other servers if it comes to a great success.

Chat

1.  English Only in public chat (World Chat and Country Chat)

2.  No verbal harassment, any kinds of verbal insults are strongly prohibited in the game.

3.  No Spam.

In Game Behavior:

1. No BOT Killing: BOT Killing has been annoying most of the players for a long time, considering numerous ideas from players, we made this rule and hope it’ll do good to our players.

2.  No Mobbing: Please refer to http://mwo.enjoymmo.com/forum/thread-5294-1-1.html

3.  No Chasing: Some players were always chased by someone for no reasons, which made them almost impossible to level up, it’s kinda an act of harassment that we decide to put it to an end.

Others:

Any other kinds of harassment are also prohibited in the game, if you feel harassed by other players, please submit a ticket at http://support.enjoymmo.com , tell us all about it and better attach some screenshots if you can, we’ll have an investigation on it before we take further actions.

We hope all the players can enjoy the game and play in harmony, in the new server Eden, as well as the other servers. If you have any suggestions, please leave your ideas here, we’ll take them into consideration and update the written rules.

over all its a good idea
the problem is when poeple start to exagerate things and make a storm in a glass of water
u have to set some more rules about the main rules like number of SS

and i think players should know wiht how many SS somethign happens (GMs response) whats the punishment how many days

also GMs should let players BlackList players form other countries so if a person gets insult form 1 player only well Blacklist and he doesnt have an excuse to being hunted, now if the othe player uses other accounts to insult thats harassment and every single account should be banned

I also would make another World Arena wiht no mobs or bosses just a map to fight if poeple just want to fight themselfs
if a person dies well they get out the map and cant enter unless they relog like WA

i think Mobbers should get banned inmidiatly not with any warning and at least 1 week or 2, a good punishment makes poeple dont repaet some 1 elses crime

also be Careful with the Bot killer Screen Shots cuz maybe im a Mage and a fallen angels comes to kill me na di repsond obvioulsy he attacks the mob to leehc back and then blames me for bot killing or the other way around i jump in his spot and just use spells to annoy him while he buts ultimatly he dies and i can say i was botting there 1st

also there should be a rule protecting low lvl players

and well i wish very good Luck to GMs hope they succed with the new rules and finish with the unfair killing

i accept im a bot killer and i dont like alot of poeple but i have stopped for the sake of the server and poeple have stopped though there r some who dont stop and hunt players, im happy to know now this players cant do this any more and they will get punished (they dont kill me cuz well i dont bot anymore xD but they kill low lvl players cuz of any reaosn they can find)

i have a few things to say:
1) instead of inforcing these rules on old servers, you make a new,completly useless server and will probably dircet all your attention on it from now on,untill the new server comes out that is... so that means,all the old players can pretty much do what ever they want, making the game even less popular.
2)no bot killing? so that means i can bot bosses when ever the hell i want and no one can do anything about it? hmm sure that sounds awesome.
3) does ks counts as harrasment? cause if it does,then half the server will get banned on the first few days,woohoo.
4) how can you ask of people to speak in english when some of the GMs dont speak proper english? some people just cant do it,that leads to trading issues,because someone who does not know english, wont be able to take part in the market.

i dont really think you will read this post to its full,nor do i think you will do anything with it, i just wanted to make things clear,so when the new server goes bad, i can say "i told you so".

why dont you enforce these rules in all servers, most of them have been there, just the gm's never seem to reinforce them with any sort of force, cant see new server being any different.

the issues raised above are valid, how are you going to prove who was there first from a screen shot, stop ppl from botting and hogging bosses.

you will need to clarify most of your rules too......what is considered spam ?,  and what do you mean no chasing ?......wtf is that, and if they dont kill you whats the issue, if they do that comes under your no bot killing rule,

those things should be take out of the game, not just made illegal, cause there is no way you can prove who was where first on a map, just remove the capability of targeting enemy side and remove the pk mode, unless in wars or special designated maps.

and if you do make it impossible to kill other players, then you will have ppl botting same spot, bosses and that will be a whole another set of grief

well i think the basic problem of the new rules is that they r not clear they have soem problems and i didnt think about the botting on boss spots but poeple who do so get killed cuz well its not fair and i agree with tomer,
its not so easy to inforce this new rules and its better if the own game Handles with some kind of way like

i heared in the creat ur Event a player gave an idea that GMs gave an Inmunity bubble that could protect the player while botting, maybe GMs coul make the expiriance Bliss give some kind of inmunity agaisnt players or an item that lasts until the player logs off or the Bot it seld has an option that says inmunity agaisnt players but if they get hit by a Boss it desappeares so they wotn bot in boss spot

but i think in my opinion sometimes the pk is needed as the non pking GMs will have to come up with a good solution to mix this 2 in some Great Idea

The last thing i want to do is rain on anyones parade and while the intentions are good i have to agree with most people here!! Why not enforce those rules on all servers, its about high time!
MWO is the MMO game i played the longest so far and even though i have tried time and time again to make the GMs see what is going wrong in this game, it didn't do much good. I have been thru it all. The mobbing, the bot killing, dragging mobs to my spot, the harassment, insults and otherwise verbal abuse in country chat, even stalking and i always based my accusations up with SS, plenty of them, yet nothing was ever really done about it. And i dare say i have just about been thru every GM there was up until i quit a year ago, which in the end caused me to say "to hell with it" and i quit, leaving a bunch of great friends behind. Some of them quit also by now but some haven't and i stay in touch, log in now and then to shoot the breeze.
But let me give Credit where Credit is due. At least I got GM Marla come out to my botting place in Wave for a while to observe which i really appreciated.
Fact is even if rules are enforced punishment for breaking them is much too lax so people don't really take them serious and unless GMs start to take notice as soon as these rules are broken and follow thru with hard punishments the same thing will eventually happen on this new server, mark my word.

And oh yeah, i almost forgot., i heard that some of the senior players here seem to think that my best friend and President of the Warlord Killers Valasca is using my identity here in forum to post comments. Let me set the record straight! That is absolute nonsense! She is the kind of lady who definitely doesn't need to hide behind some other identity to say whats on her mind. So Val hun, hang in there, your one hell of a lady and I miss ya!  :)

well i think we all agree there should be harsh punishments!

and i would like to ask another thing when i got continuosly Harassed by different players when i used to lvl up alone poeple dragged the mobs from the spot i was and i had to go look for every single 1 of them through all the map..... GMs will do something about this too? at th end this is another kind of Harrasment

and my Idea of making Sancity spell work on Fallen Angels still stands u can say that Fallen r not good and bla bla bla but the fatc is that every one use them every 1 uses a Fallen Angel the class that is normaly used by every 1 in all the servers is Fallen Angels

please i ask this with my best intentions but lets leave our personal issues outside this threat and make another threat

just leave ideas of solutions just like GMs asked we dont want to make this threat a figth between poeple when thats not the point of this

ZeiganLaccret must of missed the post where someone was fighting with someone.
This is a good Idea to a degree but this shouldn't be just for new server but all Servers, most players show common courtesy to others, its only the minority that take to pking for fun mobbing etc.
Players should be able to send as many SS as they please to back up there complaints.
I actually do agree fully with English only in country, The point is if they cannot speak English, then how unless there using a translator are they even managing to play the game, and something ive learnt in last 3 yrs of playing is most here can speak it. Players join knowing its a English server and theres always normal Chat. If all in country speak the Server language then it also means everyone can understand, And you dont get the verbal abuse from non English players who speak there language thinking you dont know there insults.( sadly for them i do, being a gm in a past game)
But the only way players will change there attitudes to how they play is if GMs actually enforce the rules.
The average GM cant ban any player even if they have the proof, its the head GM who decides and the GM who is guilty of doing nothing.

ok non Enlgihs in Country and world chat were rules that were alive in the game the problem was GMs didnt inforce them
i agree most players do work on the courtesy of having a peaceful playfield

but those who dont they r given and rewarded for being that way in the game with Stronger and Better gears they become in poeple who dont care for others than themselfs and its not that hard to destroy the hard work of others

its very different to set up a Botting spot than to ruin it which is easy so yeah they can be a minority but that minority gives hell to the entire server so if GMs will enforce this rules only in Eden Well then i guess its worth Changing the server i was in and go to the new 1 so i wont have a reaso to whineabout my old server when theres the possibility to change into a new server with better promises

and i ask agian please dont make this threat personal try to handle ur emotions proporly and find other spaces to deal with the problem

Come on everyone!!!! We all know why there doing this. Its all about money when people stop buying plat on a new server they open another one. There making this server sound better by saying no Harassment and mobbing PKing and all that to bring people to it to spend money on the game. Sad part is all it shows is the GMs are to lazy to do there job and ban players for mobbing and everything else. We have all heard GMs say you will be banned for doing everything the new server says your not alowed to do. GMs DO YOUR JOB AND BAN ALL THEM PLAYERS THAT DO THAT STUFF IN THE OTHER SERVERS.

BTW zeigan as much as i hate to admit it you had some reasonable feedback here, im actually suprised, but any decent mage should be able to destroy any FA. Have never had a problem killing fa with my freezing ur** on any servers, and you can kill bunny in saga now, so you should quit on about sancity. If you really want a toon for pvp make an assassin, I think mages are too powerful, yes they cost alot to do right, but when are, they lvl and plvl faster than and um or team of ums, can kill most other classes unless have huge amount of skill or mp rebound.
