Item name colour

Complete noob question (2nd day playing ) but does the colour of the item actually mean anything?

Yes it does, it generally constitutes that rarity of an item. Dark gold is the rarest of the common items. Then there is the green items. those will usually only drop for you when you get to do instances.
I haven't failed. I have found 10,000 ways that wont work.
