Annals of Siege War: Genesis 8.06.08

The Siege War held on the sixth of August resulted in an initial win for Dynasty and a subsequent three consecutive wins for Empire.  Many Dynasty members were left fuming over the devastating losses. Empire was able to dispatch of the dragon even before Dynasty was able to demolish the first set of barricades. “How could this have happened?” people wondered.

Many attributed the losses to Thra being noticeably absent from the war. Other members of Dynasty, however,  ascribed the losses to something more devious, something more subversive: Empire’s exploitation of an oversight in game mechanics–mnemonic symbols. Scornful accusations and affronts were soon hurled through boundaries and across airwaves–Dynasty deriding the other for lacking integrity and any semblance of fair-play; Empire remaining adamant that no rules were broken and that Dynasty merely had sour grapes because they lacked the cooperation and creative thinking to do it first. Controversy enveloped around the legitimacy behind the usage of mnemonic symbols during Siege Wars. A myriad of simmering questions bubbled to the surface: should this be allowed? Should entire sets of barricades be avoided by using these mnemonic symbols as shortcuts? Does it defeat the very fundamentals of the Siege War? Should it be considered cheating? Is it considered bug abuse? Is it fair? In spite of these gnawing questions, however, people wondered if this was just another facet to the game, a strategy used for the resourceful and the innovative.

Until clarity is achieved on the issue, Dynasty must either adapt or be left behind; using mnemonic symbols, cooperation, and team-work to win the Siege War, or resign to being outwitted and outmaneuvered.
