The ignorant misappropriation of the Dominant Sword was inviting another unexpected twist on the part of the sealed Devils. Suffering from isolation had made the Death Legion so petty and vindictive. Their hostility was rather a ravage than a conquest. The Death Atmosphere of Lucifer, the King of Devils, ran through the Magic Continent very rapidly. All creatures had been subject to him except for the remaining human beings. They were now on the edge of extinction.
