After 2 months of Closed-Beta testing, the long-expected Open Beta of Magic World Online will finally begin on June 20, 2008.

As an MMORPG with some of the most fantastic new concepts and original game designs, MWO has already won over hearts of many players during its Closed Beta. During the official Open Beta, players can experience some very exciting new features in MWO:

1. While having a romantic relationship in game is certainly fun, but it might not be quite enough for some serious committed love birds. Why not have a beautiful wedding to make the ultimate commitment? In the Open Beta, a new Marriage System will be added to make this possible.

2. An Official Position System will be introduced to allow players gain distinctions by contributing to their countries and fellow citizens. The honor and reputation gained from the Position System are not the sole purpose for players to fight hard, but, they certainly provide extra encouragement for the players.

3. There will be a new expanded map named Hero Island for all the brave adventurers to explore.

4. Furthermore, The 12 Evil Zodiac, the most dangerous instance ever in MWO history, will be opened to all players who are ready to face the ultimate challenge.

The client file of MWO Open Beta is ready for download at http://mwo.enjoymmo.com. Registration will be quick and easy at http://mwo.enjoymmo.com/register/. Both download and registration are absolutely free. Extra image resources had been beforehand stored up in CB client, so all Closed Beta players will only need to update a small patch to be ready for the Open Beta.

A brand new server world will be open on the date of Open Beta for players who wish to have a new beginning.

Install MWO

Once you complete the download of MWO client, you can double click mwosetup.exe to start installation. Then click “Next” all the way long to finish installation. Note: To change game directory location, click browse and specify a location. MWO desktop run icon can also be decided to appear or not.

Enter MWO

To run MWO, double click MWO desktop run icon, or run mwo.exe at the game directory location. Double click to select a server, input in the corresponding slot your MWO account and password, then press Enter to start the brand new game world exprience.

War Prologue

Dynasty on the north of the MagicLand, and Empire on the south of the MagicLand has historical disputes especially the dispute on how to divide the resourceful Golden Plain. As this bitter border dispute grew mad on time, a great war between the two countries broke out, attempting to settle once and for all this endless historical matter. However, a turning point happened when Devils were accidentally set free from Hell. Remaining Humans were then cornered in an extremely hostile environment.

Even though, the remaining heroes of the MagicLand unregretedly kept their principles. Regardless of feeble struggle, weak resistance, they gave their resolute refusal to meaningless survival from Devils’ sympathy. And this had been giving very strong courage to the remaining general public. Heroes then tried to persuade people from the two opposing camps to cooperate against Devils. However, hatred was deep-rooted while hostility became part of instinct. Various factors worked against Heroes’ efforts while people were simply inclined to reject compromise. Heroes then realized they had to conform and stop struggling against their emotional selves.

Meanwhile, Devils thought they were powerful enough to be able to rest easy appreciating this situation. They were pretty sure when Humans were without the aid of Gods, they definitely had no way and potential to do anything worthwhile. Was the self-confidence overdue? Maybe this was the golden opportunity for Humans’ revivification? Or innumerable lost souls would forever stay in the devastated Golden City?

It is always dignity, the petty but priceless magic that drives people so fearless. Today, readily taking the responsibility to serve the country, infinite compatriots will again send in Golden Plain, the well-known Hero Bone-yard to die a heroic death… The MagicLand will surely mourn their passing!

War Launch

Character at Lv30 will have the chance to serve the country at 7PM PST. They can gain Glory Points by defeating opposing players and destroying guards and other properties. However, no glory point will be gained from killing players 10 levels lower than you. If you lose in pvp, you can revive at the designated revival site. According to varied value of glory points, official position and item prize will be rewarded (possible extra rewards for outshining glory points). Official position allows house ownership, which in turn allows the award for higher official position.

a) Enter the map for State War (Golden Plain)

1. The entrance for State War map is in Armed Coast, Dynasty or Hope Oasis, Empire

2. Those countrymen who are in Golden Plain before State War starts can quit the scene and enter again to refresh

b) Enter the battle ground

Talk to the fort NPC (Battleground Teleporter) once you enter the map. He will teleport you to different gates.

c) Glory Points

State Glory Points: +1 Glory Point for every honorable killing, +1,000 Glory Point for destroying one stronghold, +10,000 Glory Point for Guard Dragon takedown. Factions that hit 100, 200… Glory Points will be reported to both sides.

Individual Glory Points: +1 Glory Point for every honorable killing on enemy less than 7 levels lower than you, +1 Glory Point for every thankful revival. Individuals that hit 10, 50, 100, 200, 300…will be reported to all players on both sides. When state war ends, Glory Point Rating Board for Top10 Heroes will pop up. State War lasts for 1 hour.

d) Strategy Example

Strongholds are one critical factor that determines the outcome of state war. Stronghold destruction will be reported.

Guard Dragon is too powerful to be defeated. However, its attribute will reduce at stronghold destruction. Much fun involved, please experience more for yourselves. Guard Dragon takedown will be reported too.

e) War Outcome

1. State War ends in 1 hour. The side owning the highest State Glory Points wins. Those who outlive the state war will be rewarded with War Packages.

2. State War ends in 1 hour. Players on the same server owning the Top10 Individual Glory Points will be rewarded with State War Glory Package.

3. Before open the Battlefield Prize Package, please confirm there are more than 3 slots in your backpack.

f) War Prize

1. State War Glory Package (Top10 Individual Glory Points) contains mostly advanced gemstones of various kinds. It is a matter of luck concerning who gain legend gears, weapons etc.

2. War Package (Winner Side) contains mostly advanced gemstones of various kinds. It is a matter of luck concerning who gain weapon souls, legend components.

What’s more, they’ve improved their fighting abilities tremendously, no longer being the victim to be easily challenged…
